This is Roy’s first agency role, having been a client for 20 years; He currently oversees the Kodak business worldwide based out of the New York office, bringing both a brand marketing and global experience to the agency practice. He has worked in the UK, Europe and USA as well as global experience, managing sponsorships, cause-related marketing, media exploitation, retail development, product launches, guerilla marketing and special event production. Roy’s career spans Wm Morrison Supermarkets, Philip Morris (Marlboro), Levi Strauss & Co, and Rocawear, in a variety of marketing roles from market services to advertising, managing launches through to sponsorship programs in F1 Motor Racing.
For the next 15 years he held a variety of marketing roles at Levi Strauss & Co both in London and San Francisco and led the UK team for 5 years growing the business winning advertising awards, launching the first Levi flagship store, before getting a further move in 1996, this time to San Francisco and director of global marketing responsible for integrating worldwide strategy around products and programs.
In 1997 he was elected to the board of the Levi Strauss Foundation and spearheaded several cause related marketing programs around education and awareness for AIDS/HIV globally. In 1999, he set up worldwide presence and publicity as an internal group to manage, create and execute all non-advertising marketing programs; public relations, sponsorship, retail promotions, product placement, guerilla marketing. He co-directed the development of the San Francisco Flagship store and encouraged entertainment marketing in music, film and TV and developed integrated promotional programs with key retailers.
Post Levi Strauss & CO, Roy consulted in the creative services industry in New York with photographers and stylists, including a year as VP of Marketing at Rocawear/Roc-a-fella before moving to Ketchum, Inc.
Roy has a degree in shopping and pop culture gained from a wide variety of real life experiences around the globe.
