Chris Edwards
Position(s):
Film Director
After graduating from Colgate University, he became a bartender in New York City to pay the bills while working his way up the ranks of the nascent independent film scene. An earlier adopter of digital video, he created Wild Ambition, the first all digital short as cinematographer & producer before viral was a term.
This led Chris to a job as a staff cameraman shooting documentaries for Classic Sports Network, later to become ESPN Classic. Then, onto an apprenticeship with multi-award winning Director of Photography, Greg Ramsey (trailers for Men In Black, X-Men, The Patriot).
In 2000, Chris went freelance as a cameraman and his company, Production Junction, was born. This has allowed him to work with some of the greatest filmmakers in New York City both on and off the set. Chris' most recent film, Vegas: Based on a True Story, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the main narrative competition and will soon be in theatres.
