Headshop Guerillas
Position(s):
Performer
Best known for their exciting monthly show at the New York Film Academy on Union Square in New York City, the Headshop Guerillas have the warm personalities and the hilarious routines that make any type of event an entertaining and unequivocal success. The "HG's" provide original improvisational comedy for benefits, private events, parties, club bookings, theaters or meetings and create cutting edge "laugh out loud" humor, derived entirely from audience suggestion.
The show consists of a variety of fast paced comic characters and improv scenes characterized by elements of avant-garde theater, physical and slap stick comedy, a cappella singing, and original poetry and monologue. Members of the HG's have appeared on HBO, ShowtimeTV, A&E, VH1, MTV, Spike TV, and Comedy Central in numerous television shows and films.
The ensemble also works with Founder and Director Robert Galinsky in recurring roles as actors and writers on live promotions for: CBS, VH1, FOX TV, The National Geographic Channel, MySpaceTV and corporate clients such as American Express, Microsoft and Nintendo.
The Headshop Guerillas take their name from two sources. A. Headshop- the inspired play space and creative workshop in our minds and B. Guerilla- the element of surprise and use of whatever is available to pull off the artistic assault! Their hit and run comedy, recently described as the "Fight Club of improv" make them a truly unique and one of a kind entertainment force, leaving audiences creatively juiced and absolutely awe struck.
