Just Peace Summit Opening Reception

The Opening Reception marked the official opening of Three Dot Dash and the Just Peace Summit, and brought together Global Teen Leaders, the Three Dot Dash Team, Guardians, Sponsor Partners, Coalition Partners and Guests. All celebrated the beginning of the powerful global initiative with introductions from Nile Rodgers, legendary music producer/songwriter/perform and Founder of the We Are Family Foundation (WAFF), and Nancy Hunt, President of WAFF. Jeni Stepanek, mother of the late 13-year-old poet and peacemaker Mattie J.T. Stepanek, spoke on Mattie’s vision of hope and peace. Caryl Stern, President & CEO of US Fund for UNICEF, moderated an intimate discussion between Ishmael Beah, bestselling author of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, and Ian Stewart, award-winning AP journalist and author of Ambushed: A War Reporter’s Life on the Line.
