Three Dot Dash® Global Teen Leaders (GTLs) are carefully selected and invited to participate in the yearlong Three Dot Dash initiative from nominations by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other qualified organizations that are members of the Three Dot Dash Coalition.


Both organizations and GTLs nominees must complete a Three Dot Dash Nomination Form and submit it by the deadline. (Please note: The 2008 Three Dot Dash GTLs have been chosen. Check back next year to nominate GTLs for 2009!)


Final GTLs are then selected by a distinguished Three Dot Dash Selection Committee based upon the criteria outlined below:



GTLS must be:

  • Nominated by a non-governmental organization (NGO) or other qualified organization (any organization that is not an NGO, but does have a Corporate Social Responsibility program or philanthropic division) that is a member of the Three Dot Dash Coalition
  • Between the ages of 13-19 at the time of the Summit (some exceptions can apply)
  • Able to demonstrate leadership capability within his/her community and/or globally that has significantly affected the basic human needs of others
  • Able to speak and write English proficiently
  • Able to travel and participate in the Summit
  • Accompanied by a guardian if under the age of 18
