The Shared Table and the Power of Music

Sunday night, Celebrity Chef Don Pintabona (links to Don’s Team bio page) imparted his vision of "The Shared Table," in which food can successfully promote peace by bringing together diverse people to learn about each other’s culture and lifestyle. He demonstrates this vision by preparing a typical meal from his Southern Italian roots.

Later that evening, influential figures in the worlds of music came together to discuss the "Power of Music" to promote peace, including Nile Rodgers, world-renowned producer/songwriter/musician and Founder of the We Are Family Foundation; Tom Silverman, CEO and Founder of Tommy Boy Entertainment; Danny Schechter, Emmy Award-winning Director; Jamal Joseph, Founder & Artistic Director of Academy Award-nominated IMPACT Repertory Theatre; and Derrick Ashong,artist and activist.
