"Lil' MDGs"
In just three years, Dylan has inspired a network of over 800 children from more than 30 countries to volunteer their time to solving local and global issues, thanks to his online project called "Lil' MDGs." "Lil' MDGs" seeks to educate, inspire and empower youth to help achieve the eight UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)—including halving extreme poverty and stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS—by 2015. His online forum provides a way for children to get involved and learn about important global issues. In addition to raising hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of clothing, educational materials and other supplies to be distributed to children around the world, Dylan organizes events and creates youth-friendly materials explaining the Millennium Development Goals. Dylan wants to expand his social network and explore new, more efficient forms of communication to quicken the fulfillment of the MDGs.
