Charlyn is a doctor of public health and tropical medicine with extensive experience in business leadership of global health and international non-profit organizations, particularly in the developing world.
Charlyn is a Senior Partner of E-Line Ventures, a ‘double bottom line’ venture fund focused on empowering individuals, small businesses and underserved communities to better compete in a complex, global marketplace and to become actively engaged in the critical issues of the day. Charlyn plays a key role in evaluating and measuring the fund’s success in accordance with its double-bottom line thesis; filtering investments for companies whose core competitive strategy is aligned with making social impact.
She applies her expertise in research, evaluation and education in numerous international settings. She is a Director of Rwanda Can’t Wait (RCW), driving an integrated effort, through the micro-franchise model developing capacity in healthcare, education, agriculture, small-business enterprise, and security. The RCW coalition is striving to build prosperity in Rwanda during this period of post-genocide recovery.
Belluzzo is a faculty member of the Medical Knowledge Institute (MKI), based in the Netherlands, providing programs that promote and improve the quality of healthcare as a human right in the developing world, particularly addressing issues of cancer care and HIV/AIDS.
Belluzzo earned graduate degrees and received post-graduate training from LaSalle University, University of Colorado School of Business, Georgetown University School of Medicine, and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
She is a Gladstone Institute Scientific Advisor, Special Advisor to HopeLab Foundation, Board Director of FilmAid International, UC Center for Global Health Advisory, and a member of the United Nations Business Council, American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives, and American College of Nutrition.
Charlyn is a frequent speaker and panelist at international forums and conferences.
