Public-Private Alliance Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation is to bring together individuals, groups, government authorities, non-governmental organizations, donors and businesses to collaborate and provide funding to help poor people and communities in developing countries to become more self-reliant.
The aims of the Foundation are:
• To encourage alliances and partnerships at country and international levels in order to foster collaboration that supports and promotes pro-poor business and economic and social advancement of people, so as to help achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals;
• To facilitate and nurture collaboration among government authorities, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, donors and other civil society organizations for promoting sustainable development;
• To raise funds to support programs and actions that aim to improve economic and social development in selected countries;
• To identify, highlight and promote replication of business policies and practices that are both profitable and promote social and economic advancement of poor people.
